Sony Drops New Line of Wireless Speakers In Time For Summer

There is a soundtrack every summer, and Sony wants you to listen to yourself on the latest range of portable Bluetooth speakers. The product line is now available and may help to initiate a more active, less quarantined season. Here is our information about Prasad:

XB13 Extra Bass

The smallest and most portable of the bunch, the XB13 Extra Bass comes with IP67 waterproof and dustproof designation – that’s enough protection for severe rain or splash and sand, but don’t let it float. The speaker is available in a number of vibrant colors suited to the summer season and, as its name suggests, hangs its hat on the ability to handle bass-heavy tracks and produce “deep, punchy sound”.

If you want to double that punch, you can pair the speaker with another unit for stereo sound and – if you get an important call while lounging on the side of the pool – it can serve as a speakerphone is. This miniature model is small enough to fit inside your cupholder and comes with a multiway strap to carry.

Battery life checks in at 16 hours – very capable for a small speaker. Like the rest of this product line, the XB13 has Bluetooth connectivity, but is the only entry on the list without play-and-charge capability (more on that later).

XG500 X-Series

The XG500 distinguishes itself with its long-lasting battery (30 hours playing time) and sleek design. The LED lights, which can be controlled using the smartphone app, ring the speaker on both sides and the handle is basically blended into its cylindrical frame, allowing you to take it anywhere in the summer.

It checks just over 12 pounds – manageable, but not featherweight at all. It has a waterproof and dustproof rating of IP66, which means it can withstand splash or spray, but do not drop it into the pool.

A particularly cool feature of the XG500 is its play-and-charge capability. You can connect your device through the rear USB port and it will charge using the speaker’s power supply – very useful if you’re on the beach, and you are a long way from the nearest outlet. Huh.

Xp700 x-series

The XP700, the largest model in the line, has powerful front and rear tweeters for what Sony calls “omnidirectional party sound” and its mic / guitar rear input means you can jam and / or karaoke to your heart’s content.

If you plan to have a great summer, you can use the Party Connect feature to connect multiple speakers (at most 100!) This 37-pound beast can be placed upright or on its edge. And has an integrated handle to move around it. It also has play-and-charge capability. The speaker is IPX4 water-resistant, but not waterproof, so be careful if you have a pool side bash.

XP500 X-Series

Battery life on the XP500, the XP700’s more portable younger sibling, is slightly shorter (20 hours instead of 25) but it’s shorter and very Lighter (24 pounds vs. 37). Otherwise, it is quite comparable to its family: mic and guitar input, party connect functionality, play-and-charge capability, X-balanced speakers for larger bass, integrated handles and programmable LED lights.

One notable difference is that this model has two front tweeters instead of front and rear, so it will not offer the same “omnidirectional party sound” as the XP700.
