“I’m a person who likes to plan and think ahead. I usually like to know what I’m doing months or years ago, but COVID taught me to take things day in and day out.”
Sadie Sink began her career as a child artist – though you’ll never know it. Elegant and sophisticated, and with the poetry of a Hollywood veteran with decades of experience under her belt, the now-18-year-old actress is best known for her role as Max in the Netflix hit (An Understanding, Less To say the least)), Strange things. But she began her career on Broadway, as the lead in the 2013 revival Annie. Adopting a more experimental approach to makeup
“As I grew older, I started experimenting with different makeup trends and giving a bolder look. Makeup was something that grew on me; I was not really interested in it at a young age. It wasn’t until I started wearing makeup for press events that I started to meet. Makeup was something I had already dreaded, but as I was getting ready for more and more red carpets, more press events and photo shoots, I learned a lot about the beauty world and It fell in love with artistry. Fashion has always been a way for me to express myself, but now we are entering this new era where makeup and beauty is another way by which people can truly express themselves. I am really excited to dip my toes in the future. “
On the role of beauty in the era of social media
“I have a lot of friends who watch YouTube makeup tutorials and at one point I watched anything, and tried to follow along and failed miserably. It is really interesting to see how social media and beauty world are merging and you have so many sources of inspiration [platforms like] YouTube and Instagram I personally do not use social media, so I like to draw inspiration from the people I meet in the real world. But it is truly incredible how far the world has come in terms of its relationship with social media and social media and all the resources available to people. “
On newly acquired hobbies
“I started becoming a journalist everyday during quarantine and I have continued that I am back to work now. I am a person who likes to plan and think ahead.
