Rocket league sideswipe brings the franchise to mobile

Rocket league Mobile spinoff is on the way. Developer Psyonix announced a new installment of the franchise Rocket League Sideswipe, Which is a simpler version of the game built for mobile devices.

Rocket League Sideswipe It is the franchise’s first new game since it debuted in 2015. Like its console counterparts, Sideswipe Is a hybrid sports / driving game where players control rocket cars in a sci-fi football game.

The new stand-alone game is under development for both iOS and Android. Psyonix says it is targeting a 2021 launch, although no specific window was given. It will launch as a free game.

The main difference between Rocket league And Sideswipe Is that the mobile version has only one-vs-one or two-vs-two matches. The rounds are very fast paced and last only two minutes. It has a zoom-out camera that shows the entire area at once instead of tracking a player’s car.

Sideswipe Touchscreen controls, online games and customization features are similar to mainline games. The game will have an online ranking system for competitive online play.

Alpha testing for the game starts today, but only in Australia and New Zealand. Players from those regions can now try a limited time trial by downloading the game on Android via the Google Play Store. Psyonix says it will have more information about bets in other areas over the next few months.

Mainline Rocket league The game continues to grow even further as it recently came to the new console and adopted the free-to-play model. Last year, the game hit a new milestone when it surpassed 1 million concurrent players for the first time.
