A capsule offering from Sporty and Rich and Clarks Originals is now available
For their first footwear collaboration, Sporty & Rich – the Athlebic label launched by Canadian creative Emily Oberg – is co-produced with British brand Clarks Originals. Three versions of Clarks’ classic Wallaby shoes have been offered in shades of merlot, cream and pastel blue; hues make sure you have a spring in your step. The styles are made by a German tanner who works with the redevelopment-focused organization, the Kikonda Forest Project, and has a rubber sole made from a renewable source.
Oberg said in a press release about the launch, “For me, Wallaby likes the genderless image that I always try to incorporate into the beauty of Sporty and Rich.” “It perfectly combines elegance and casual styles together – not a dress shoe, but not quite a sneaker either. And the history of shoes within the culture of the 90s made it a versatile icon for various groups of people Have given. “
Kulgar debuted several pieces designed by Jill Malek
Home Decor designer Jill Malek lends her artistic, minimalistic style to an array of Cougar’s popular Kensington Chelsea Rain Boots. The pattern uses reflective detail to capture the essence of “the rain catches the light”, with a utilitarian vibe of the boot to heighten the finesse. “Inspired dynamically in nature, it is my mission to create pieces that promote a sense of calm and fluidity,” Malek said in a statement about the collaboration. “The partnership with Cougar has enabled me to bring the story of translucent rain to my amazing rain boot, while also allowing me to experiment with my new and innovative materials.”
Fall 2021 Anna Sui x John Fluvog collab is available for pre-order
If you caught the digital launch of Anna Sui’s Fall 2021 collection during NYFW last week, you may have noticed that she continues her work with Canadian brand John Fluvog. And for the first time, fans of the fantasy synergy between Fluvog and Sui are able to pre-order select pieces from the collection. In this case, Odlam cut the Chelsea boot – a slip-on style that comes in two shades of an attractive berry and floral motif. Pick your pair for expected delivery in May (who doesn’t love anything to go on for these days?), And will get the added satisfaction of knowing 10% of the sale, an organization close to the heart of the needle. Bowery will go to the mission.
Native shoes dropped more styles with re-planted algae
Native Shoes of Vancouver relaunched their selection of Jefferson Bloom Archive pieces in sea-inspired colors. Fitting, as is done with materials that use the Rise by Bloom technique; According to a press release, the process removes the toxic algae from the waterway and the matter of this harvesting is then “fused” to the top of the shoe.
Vans and Opening Ceremony have partnered with their first global collection
For their new capsule collection with Vans, Opening Ceremony founders Humberto Leon and Carole Lim have created interpretations of the streetwear brand’s iconic checkboard motif. You’ll find a touch in offering two quilted sneakers in addition to leopard and snake-imprint styles. The collection also includes apparel and accessories, so indulge in head-to-toe wear if you dare.
