Want to copy a funny cat meme? About a URL you really want to share? As long as the original source allows you to copy (not all do), it is a simple process.

Phase 1: Hover the mouse pointer over the image or video you want to copy and right-click. On a Chromebook, you can press Alt When tapping the touchpad with one finger, use the key, or two fingers to tap the touchpad.

Phase 2: We have divided it into two parts:

  • If copy an image – Choose copy image or Copy image address On the pop-up menu. The URL is useful for some coding or publishing tasks, but usually the image copy is exactly what you want.
  • If someone is copying the video – Choose Copy video url, Copy the given code, or Use current movie internet path On the pop-up menu. You can use the URL and embed code to copy the video link. To paste a video into a chat stream or other casual use, all you need is the URL.

Phase 2: To paste, click on the area where you want to reside and press the copied text. Ctrl + V Keys together. Alternatively, you can select Paste it When you right-click on the pop-up menu using the mouse, press Alt While tapping the touchpad, tap the key, or with both fingers on the touchpad.

Note that if you are clicking on a thumbnail or a linked image, you will see an option copy Link address. It only provides a link to the original website hosting the photo or video. Otherwise, you can copy a thumbnail and its URL.

Copying a complete web page

If you need to copy everything that is on a particular web page, follow this method. It copies everything, including headers and buttons and other web content objects, but does not necessarily retain the layout.

If you want a full picture of the website instead, your best bet is to use the screenshot function.

Phase 1: Click anywhere inside the webpage (no image) and press Ctrl + A Keys together. This keyboard shortcut highlights (selects) everything on the page.

Phase 2: Without clicking again, press Ctrl + C Keys to copy everything highlighted together.

step 3: To paste, click on the area where you want to reside and press the copied content. Ctrl + V Keys together. Alternatively, you can select Paste it When you right-click on the pop-up menu using the mouse, press Alt While tapping the touchpad, tap the key, or with both fingers on the touchpad.

One of the advantages of Chrome is that users have access to a plethora of extensions to make their work easier – including copy-and-paste extensions. Many have been cleverly designed to overcome copy-and-paste constraints that native tools cannot always tackle. Below are some of our favorites, and what tasks they are designed to accomplish.

Multicopy:

Multicopy is a tool for those who need to copy multiple different classes at the same time, and manage them all at once instead of one at a time. It works with Chrome Storage to create an extra space so that you can store as many copies as you want. You can either select these copies to paste as needed, or paste them all one after the other. Copies are backed up on Chrome to help avoid damage.

Enable Office Copy and Paste:

It adds a small tool to your Office web app that allows you to copy or paste with a right-click menu, an option not traditionally offered. Note that this is for the web app, not an independent office app, but it is very effective if you are working with the online version.

Copy and paste ADP:

If you or your business works with a lot of automated data processing sheets to fill, it can be tedious to get into all those areas, and copy-and-paste is not always enabled, especially on web versions . This extension ensures that you can copy and paste while working on ADP documents. Under the right circumstances, this can save a lot of time and help prevent basic processing errors.

Copy paste pro:

Whether design is preferred or for security reasons, some websites prevent basic copy and paste functions for their content. This extension is capable of copy, paste, select text, and right-click for websites that do not usually do so.

Copy plain text:

This handy tool removes all formatting from a section of text when you copy it. This allows you to paste in an email, web form, or other fields without worrying about that formatting problems. If you fill a lot of web forms and you have constant headaches from formatting, this tool can help.
