One of the most beloved nighttime spectacular shows at Walt Disney World can be found at Magic Kingdom, where Happily Ever After illuminates Cinderella Castle and the night sky.
Happily Ever After debuted in 2017, and on October 1, 2021, Disney Guests will get to see an all-new show, Disney Enchantment, debut for the 50th anniversary celebration. Many Happily Ever After fans hoped to see the show return after the 18-month-long birthday, but it seems that Disney is now preparing to say goodbye to the show for good.
In a recent announcement, Disney noted:
We also recently announced that all-new nighttime spectaculars “Disney Enchantment” and “Harmonious” would be debuting October 1 as part of The World’s Most Magical Celebration. That means this summer is also your last chance to come out and catch the current fireworks shows before they sparkle into Disney history. “EPCOT Forever” will conclude its limited-time run on September 28, and you have until September 29 to take in the spectacle of “Happily Ever After” at Magic Kingdom Park.
If the show is about to become a part of “Disney history,” it seems that Guests will have to say goodbye to the show for good. Happily Ever After has only been around for a short while and was not running for over a year due to the pandemic. So the fact that this firework show is ending in the fall has shocked many fans who have come to love it.

Lee G. is expecting a better show if Disney chooses to cancel Happily Ever After for good.
All I can say is there better be a better one that follows although Disney may put prices up again
Amanda was hoping to see the show return after the 50th celebration.
I feel like this show just started! I’m okay with a new show for the 50th but thought it would return after the 50th is over.. it’s such a good fireworks show!
Beth is just simply… not okay.
NOOOOOO!!!! I am NOT OK
It seems pretty clear that many fans are sad to see the show leave! Happily Ever After brings tears to many and is a very spectacular firework show. Guests looking to see the show before it ends should look into booking a Disney Park Pass reservation as soon as possible to ensure their spot in the Park on their preferred date.
